ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

The candidate should have working knowledge of Financial Accounting, commercial norms and taxation.

The responsibilities include : 

• Preparation of accounting documents such as invoices, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchases, bank reconciliation statement, verification of payments, MIS, Maintenance of records in SAP FICO etc., Candidate should have strong knowledge of GST and should be capable of Filing GST Returns Independently.

The person will be responsible for Branch Accounting Functions. The major responsibilities include: 

1. Ensuring maintenance of Books of Accounts, including finance management and asset accounting.

2. Ensuring implementation of Standard procedures relating to arrival of stock.

3. Maintenance of stocks in Godowns.

4. Physical verification of stock in warehouse and Reconciliation with BOOK stock.

5. Invoicing

6. Reconciliation of Vendor/supplier Ledger and Inter Office Balance.

7. Ensuring proper compliance with all statutory formalities like service tax, gst filing etc.,

8. Reconciliation of Inter Office Balance.

9. Coordinating with Internal auditors.

10. Ensuring proper utilization of budgets.

11. Preparation of transporter bills.

12. Preparation of general vouchers and payments.

13. Other accounts related works.

14. Reconciliation of Vendor/supplier ledger and Inter Office balance.

15. Settling employee tour bills and other bills.

16. Ensure proper transportation of stocks and other commercial activities etc.,

SELECTION PROCESS :

The candidates register online with NHPC and have filled all the requisite information shall be provisionally allowed to appear for computer Based Online Test.

Based on merit of Online Test, the final selected candidates will be offered “offer of Appointment”

TEST CENTERS :

The computer based test/online test will be held in 22 cities as mentioned in the online application system.

Candidates have to select preferred examination city (limited to 3 choices) from the given list of exam cities in the Online Application Form> However, NHPC reserves the right to cancel or add any center depending on the response of the candidates for that area/center. Admission to the  test center will be on production of e-Admit Card which is to be downloaded only from our website.

Subjects for Sr.Accountant (200 Questions) :

Part-1 consists of 140 MCQ of the concerned discipline

Part-2 consists of 30 MCQ on General Awareness and

Part-3 consists of 30 MCQ on Reasoning.

MARKING SYSTEM :

For every correct answer of MCQ, one mark shall be awarded. For every wrong answer attempted by the candidates, negative marking of marks(i.e.,0.25 marks) will be deducted. All the descriptive type of questions will have 10 marks each without any negative marking. No marks will be awarded/deducted for unattempted questions.
